It is usually done by insecure leaders. It creates half-baked leaders; it induces jealousies and competitions and breeds controversy in the demise of the leader!) But this put them in close contact with roundworms, tapeworms, and etc. Goats, in comparison, eat off the ground and have less contact with parasites on the ground. But goats have a less developed natural ability to resist parasitic infections. The simple fact is that both sheep and goats have issues and leading them involves employing varying styles. Here are four: (1) Some human are like sheep, calm and collected but ‘sheepish’ and vulnerable to risks. (2) Some humans are like goats, engaging, out-going and intelligent, but vulnerable to dangers. (3) Generally, for sheep-like obligation, lead from the front with care, knowledge and understanding. For goat-like obligations, lead from behind but still with care, knowledge and understanding. (4) For both sheep-like and goat-like behaviours, there are four responsibilities you have as a leader: (a) feed them; (b) teach them; (c) restore or discipline them; (d) protect them.”

“In any leadership arrangement, the people are divided into four categories of followers: sheep; goats; cattle/bulls; and horses. With sheep, the leader leads from the front – trailblazing and guiding the way through example and care. With cattle or bulls, the leader leads from the back – because going in front jeopardizes the leader’s own wellbeing. He may be trampled upon and killed. With horses, the leader mounts them and leads from the vertical – because the leader and the horse are of similar strength and wit. Goat-like followers are savvy, subtle, agile, flexible but vulnerable and left to themselves, can be self-destructed and destructive. And they may deserve a weep of discipline from time to time. Cattle or bulls are strong and usually self-willed. They cannot be led from the front or they will trample over the leader and kill his vision. They can be very critical but they genuinely have the power to destroy the leader. So you lead them from the back and sides – constantly monitoring their movements and activities because they can be very, very dangerous and destructive if left to themselves. Like goats, they deserve a weep of discipline from time to time. Finally horses – these are strong, intelligent but very trusted, obedient and dependable. Such kind of followers you lead vertically because they are equal to the leader in every respect. They need vertical guidance and measured discipline in order to keep them focused and effective. Horse followers can break new grounds and win battles together with the leader. Over 90% of human behaviour is sheep-like!”

Three Bible Revelations that will Surprise You

1. In “The Lord’s Prayer”, Jesus protects us from absolute power politics. When He says pray that, “For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever,” He restricts us to what extent we can give man and God the power. Power in the hands of man must be with restraints of checks and balances – because man with absolute power becomes corrupt. But Jesus says that absolute power in the hands of God is safe. Ever wondered that despite all the power that God has, He neither abuses it nor uses it against us? Man would easily do that.

2. Adam and Eve sinned when they were (1) perfect and (2) in paradise. I used to think that people sin because they are not perfect and because they live in an imperfect world. But now I realize that people can sin even when they are perfect and live in a perfect world, just like perfect Adam and perfect Eve did. It seems that not sinning is a choice, not a condition.

3. King David as a man did so many bad things: He committed adultery, lied, murdered, and etc., and yet when Paul recounts the history of Israel he says that God called David, “A man after God's own heart!” Have you pondered on the fact that David as a man was not very perfect, although as a child he could have been? And still God found him, as a “man”, not as a child, to be His man. You may have sinned, done horrible things against God, even after you have known Him, but if your heart is right before God, even after terrible sins, you can still be God’s man. After-all, it seems, God values a repentant heart, not a perfect, sinless heart!”

“PRAYER SAVES THE SICK (James 5:15)

We know that prayer heals the sick, did we also know that prayer can save the sick and also have God forgive their sins? This is one of the greatest mysteries of prayer in grace; that when people are hopelessly sick, God’s grace is abundantly available, and as you pray for the sick, God also saves them and ushers them into Heaven. [Geneva Study Bible] “And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.””

PRAYER AND GOD’S PLAN

“’For I know the plans that I have for you,' declares the LORD, 'plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.…’” (Jeremiah 29:11 and 12)

God declares He has a plan for all of us – a good and prosperous plan. Why should He ask us to call (pray) upon Him and He will listen if He has all planned for us?

Precisely why we pray – to trigger God’s plan for us into motion! This verse does say that God only knows the plans He has for us. It does not say that He is putting that plan into action. It is our responsibility to ask Him to put it into action. And the only way we do that is when we pray!”

Jesus cannot do anything in the world except His people pray. Jesus said, "A branch cannot bear fruit without the vine." So it is with Christ and His church (His people), if they don't pray, He cannot move. Oh that we should pray, and not faint!

"Jesus is our advocate (lawyer; intercessor) before the Father (1 John 2:1). An advocate speaks on behalf of the accused - he represents the accused before the court/judge. He represents them when they have done something wrong or criminal. He presents evidence or makes arguments on their behalf. Human advocates are limited to what they can prove because they depend on what the accused did and said. Jesus, on the other hand, can represent every person because the proof is himself; he was punished for the wrongs/sins/crimes of everyone he represents. 1. In “The Lord’s Prayer”, Jesus protects us from absolute power politics. When He says pray that, “For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever,” He restricts us to what extent we can give man and God the power. Power in the hands of man must be with restraints of checks and balances – because man with absolute power becomes corrupt. But Jesus says that absolute power in the hands of God is safe. Ever wondered that despite all the power that God has, He neither abuses it nor uses it against us? Man would easily do that.

2. Adam and Eve sinned when they were (a) perfect and (b) in paradise. I used to think that people sin because they are not perfect and because they live in an imperfect world. But now I realize that people can sin even when they are perfect and live in a perfect world, just like perfect Adam and perfect Eve did. It seems that not sinning is a choice, not a condition.

3. King David as a man did so many bad things: He committed adultery, lied, murdered, and etc., and yet when Paul recounts the history of Israel he says that God called David, “A man after God's own heart!” Have you pondered on the fact that David as a man was not very perfect, although as a child he could have been? And still God found him, as a “man”, not as a child, to be His man. You may have sinned, done horrible things against God, even after you have known Him, but if your heart is right before God, even after terrible sins, you can still be God’s man. Afterall, it seems, God values a repentant heart, not a perfect, sinless heart!”

God forbid that mammon should be elevated in pulpits at the expense of Jehovah. God forbids that pride should rule at the expense of humility. God forbids that hate should reign at the expense of love! Let us be honest. Let everyone judge their motives. God cannot be fooled.”
